Welcome to the Guidance Office!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with 26 years of experience. This is my 11th year serving as the school counselor at Old Turnpike School, and my 18th years working in public schools (I also have 7 years of experience as a School Social Worker).
The Guidance Office provides a wide array of supports for students, parents and staff. Some of these services include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Counseling (Short term, long-term, crisis, groups and referrals)
- Support for students who are having academic difficulties through the Intervention and Referral Service and the 504 committee
- Classroom lessons on social/emotional learning
- Transition planning for 4th graders coming into OTS, and for 8th graders moving into High School
