  • Welcome to Mrs. DenBleyker's web site. I teach sixth-grade mathematics at OTS. This is my twenty-first year in the district, and I am looking forward to a great year!

This year I am very fortunate to have student-teacher, Tara Morash. Tara was in my fifth-grade class! She will be joining us two days a week for the first several months, and then will be full-time!

Our textbook, published by Glencoe, is based on the Common Core Standards and is designed to make math relevant, rigorous, and possible for every student. The first book (of two) was given to students on the second day of school. It has a soft cover and the students can do their work right in the book! Additionally, it can be accessed online along with a multitude of resources.

I live in Frenchtown with my husband, John, and we have two sons. After graduating from Villanova University, Robert served four years as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He is currently a Vice President at JP Morgan in Midtown.  He got married to Eliza last fall and they are expecting my first grandchild in January! Johnny graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and is working as a Senior Risk Specialist at Brown Brothers Harriman in the Financial District. He got engaged this summer to Maddie. There have been a few silver linings from COVID!
