The Old Turnpike School currently contains grades five through eight under the supervision of Principal William Petrick.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program, entails four educational areas that are dedicated to the new Tewksbury Preschool, which houses two programs for students classified as preschool disabled, and offers speech language, occupational therapy, physical therapy and social skills training. 

Our fifth graders are using a new semi-departmentalized schedule which has built in more academic time for Social Studies and Science. Grades six through eight have a modified block schedule that uses subject area specialists.

Our six-day cycle and activity periods have provided opportunities for our students to take advantage of various music, art, guidance, computer and geography offerings as well as required NJASK and essential skill reviews.

We endeavor to encourage an enthusiasm for learning, promote personal excellence, and nurture an appreciation and respect for oneself and others.
