Over the past two years, the state of New Jersey adopted the revised 2009 Core Curriculum Content Standards and the 2010 Common Core Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. As a result, administration and teachers have taken on an active role to meet state implementation guidelines for developing the following curricula: State of New Jersey’s 2009 Core Curriculum Standards in Visual and Performing Arts, Comprehensive Health and Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, Whole World Languages, Technology and 21st Century Life and Careers and the 2010 Common Core Standards in English Language Arts & Literacy in the History/Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects and Mathematics.
Tewksbury School District is committed to teacher quality and student excellence. The adoption of our curriculum renewal plan and commitment to curriculum as a “living document” supports ongoing research, development and enhancements in all subject areas.
