Dear Parents,
I
regret to inform you that I am forced to close Tewksbury Schools
this Tuesday, November 6th, as I have been informed that 49
district teaching staff members plan to exercise their legal
right to not attend school in observance of Election Day.
While not explicitly stated, the teachers have previously
agreed to and have worked on Election Day through out my time
as Superintendent. This appears to be a statement regarding
contract negotiations in the district.
